Heritage trip 2.0. -Off to the motherland, #Korea

Screw Kpop and all the cringey K-boo stuff. I’m gonna give you the REAL Korea with this experience. I’m talking straight up 판소리, 궁중악, 국악, 풍물노리, and so on. Gonna show you the REAL blood sweat and tears that built the Asian tiger powerhouse half my ancestors were a part of. So drop your “먹방’s” and put in your “한복” this sh*ts about to get TRADITIONAL.

Just visited Sokcho/ Seoraksan the other day, if you do absolutely hit up Geumganggul cave. Unfortunately in Busan now and off to Jeju after but I’d recommend the cave still if you do happen to go to the national park. 2 hours give or take of hiking with a pretty ridiculous and picturesque 600m vertical climb to the cave, but so worth

i wish i could do that but i have cuban heritage so it’s likely whatever records my family left there don’t exist anymore :/

also my family has told me not to go because i’d be paying the communists and because they don’t like cuban americans or something

Please dont go east. I went there the summer after the winter olympics and it was barren. Its the equivalent of being dropped off by a train in the midwest USA. The food was delicious but theres really just not much to see.

I've been to Daegu, it's wonderful. Just north of it is this mountainous park (still technically part of Daegu), where there's lots of forest, trails, and hidden Buddhist monasteries.
